Patty Redden
League Operations Manager

Patty will be critical in managing daily league and tournament operations. She will be co-managing the final season of Phoenix Dodgeball’s Thursday night league, then bringing her knowledge over to Cactus Dodgeball for future seasons.

What got you into dodgeball?
I saw an ad for a league that was playing at the time and made my friend join with me to meet new people. After the first season we kept playing, and in the 2 years since, some of those initial people I met are now my closest friends.

What do you like about dodgeball?
I like the teamwork required — when I first joined, I didn’t think it would require much of it. Dodgeball provides a fun atmosphere, mixed with nostalgia from your youth, with a competitive twist.

What is your dodgeball “resume?”

  • I have played in social leagues for the past 2 years.
  • I was supposed to play Sin City last year but unfortunately, a kickball ankle sprain kept me out. But I went and cheered on my team and still had a blast even just watching!
  • I have helped run the Dodging for Wishes dodgeball tournament for the last 2 years, a tournament that has successfully raised over $4,000 each time for the Make-a-Wish Arizona foundation.

What sports did you do in high school?
In high school, I played basketball and competed in track and field.

What is your occupation?
My family owns two dry cleaners. I manage and operate one location while doing the bookkeeping and billing for both locations.

Why did you want to be involved in Cactus Dodgeball?
Dodgeball is where I met a great group of friends that love the sport, and I want to see it continue to grow and have fun times with everyone.

When you are not playing dodgeball, what are some of your other interests?
I love playing softball, basketball and kickball. I also like to travel — my next trip will be to Ireland. I love spin classes at CycleBar and yoga, including speciality classes such as goat or paddleboard yoga!
